This leads women to activism and gives them the confidence to run for positions of elected officers in their Locals.

WHAT CAN WE DO?

We can reach out and encourage women to get involved in their union by becoming a steward, getting involved in bargaining process, or getting involved in politics, which will benefit all women.

Women need to lobby for changes with respect to childcare, pay equity and violence against women.

WOMEN’S COMMITTEES GIVE US THE TOOLS TO SUCCEED AND PARTICIPATE IN THE UNION.
